DiMaria-Ghalili Presents at New York Academy of Sciences at Nutrition Conference

Rose Ann DiMaria-Ghalili, PhD, was invited by the Sackler Institute for Nutrition Science at the New York Academy of Sciences to speak at their conference, “Capacity Building in Nutrition Sciences: Revisiting the Curricula for Medical Professionals” on June 6. DiMaria-Ghalili, who has a dual appointment in the Doctor of Nursing Practice and Nutrition Sciences Departments, presented on the College’s innovative approach to integrating nutrition into nursing education. The one-day conference revisited the current curricula for health professionals and discussed ways to build on existing initiatives and  explore how the array of preventive and therapeutic nutrition interventions that are available today can be implemented through the health system.

Due to her participation in this year’s conference, DiMaria-Ghalili earned a complimentary one-year membership to the New York Academy of Sciences.
