Complementary and Integrative Therapies Program Presents at Nurse Practitioner Residency Week

On May 7, the Complementary and Integrative Therapies Program presented at the Spring Nurse Practitioner Residency Week. In the spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration, Dorit Breiter, PhD, an assistant clinical professor and Director of the Psychiatric Mental health Nurse Practitioner Program, invited Professor Stephanie Ross, Chair of the Complementary and Integrative Therapies Program, to provide an extended presentation to the Nurse Practitioner students during their residency. Her lectures included “Complementary and Integrative Healthcare: Integrating Phytomedicine in the Treatment of Anxiety, Stress and Depression,” and “Nutritional Neuroscience: An Emerging Paradigm in Substance Use Disorders,” which was based on her paper that was recently published in the peer-reviewed Holistic Nursing Practice Journal.
