Noel Goodstadt, DPT, an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, wrote an article published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy in April. The article, “Functional Testing to Determine Readiness to Discontinue Brace Use, One Year after ACL Reconstruction,” reports on a study done to determine whether athletes would recover from ACL reconstruction better with or without a knee brace one year after their surgery.
