Drexel Earns Silver Award for Student APTA Membership
August 1, 2012
Each June, the American Physical Therapy Association tallies its student members as a part of the ‘Reach100’ nationwide challenge to encourage student membership and participation. Institutions with 80-100% APTA membership are honored with tiered awards and receive a certificate of accomplishment, web button to include on the program website, and are featured on a banner displayed at national conferences.
The Association announced that 8,506 students from 106 programs were APTA members this year. The College’s Physical Therapy program has earned Drexel University a spot on the Reach100 Award Winner list as a Silver Award level participating institution.
Among the benefits that APTA offers to its student members are journals and publications with the latest PT trends, topics and research, networking opportunities, online store discounts, financial planning resources, and access to the APTA employment page.
