In January 2013, Drexel will open a new office in Washington D.C. that will serve as an outreach and academic center for both the University’s campus programs and for Drexel Online. Not only will it be useful for targeting potential online students in the geographic region, but its physical proximity to the hub of federal government and congressional activity will prove valuable to create relationships and initiatives that will support the University. Additionally, the new Washington D.C. office will provide different research offices and non-academic units that will ultimately strengthen Drexel’s national presence.

Among other Drexel colleges that are involved in the collaboration, such as the Earle Macke School of Law and the College of Information Science and Technology, the College of Nursing and Health Professions has also pledged its association with the new D.C. building. CNHP will primarily benefit from the expansion to new territory in Washington D.C. in the areas of our online bachelor’s degrees in health services administration, as well as the online bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing. Al Rundio, Assistant Dean for Advanced Practice Nursing, spoke highly of the new addition. “The Washington D.C. Office will be important to the College of Nursing and Health Professions as it will provide us with the opportunity to meet with constituents from our online programs so that we can continue to serve our customers with the best quality online programs,” he said.
