November 1, 2012
Marlene Watson, PhD, an associate professor in the Couple and Family Therapy Department, was selected to be a member of the Board of Directors for The Family Process Journal. This organization cultivates and exchanges different research regarding the dynamics and structure of families by publishing a quarterly academic journal. Prior to this new appointment, Watson served as an ad-hoc Editorial Reviewer for the journal. Now that she is a Board member, she will directly oversee the journal’s production. She was unanimously voted to fulfill the position by her peers on the Board of Directors. “I am extremely honored to join an elite group of visionaries and trailblazers in family theory, practice, research, policy, and advocacy. I am excited to continue my efforts toward promoting family therapy and social justice in my new role,” Watson said.
