The first week in November marks National Distance Learning Week, which celebrates and creates awareness for distance programs and faculty across the country. On November 8, Drexel University Online honored the accomplishments of faculty and staff by hosting its sixth annual awards ceremony. This year’s recipient of the Drexel University Online Staff Award was the College’s own Joyce Lazarro, who was recognized for her outstanding contributions in the role of Academic Counselor to RN-BSN Online Students for 13 years. Dean Gloria Donnelly said, “Joyce not only guides the students through program requirements and the technical process of becoming an online student, she also gives students a sense that they can do the work and negotiate everything else in their lives at the same time.”
