Online BSN student Deanne Wilk wrote a paper on Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome for Cindy Little, PhD’s Genetics in Nursing and Health class last spring. When Deanne mentioned the paper at work, a cardiology physician and Drexel alumnus asked if he could read what she had written. After editing and adding to her original copy, Jeffrey L. Williams, MD co-submitted “Genetic Forms of Wolff-Parkinson-White” with Deanne to journals for possible review and publishing. EP (electrophysiology) Lab Digest published her paper in their October issue this year. “I am very excited about this opportunity,” Deanne said. “I thank Professor Little for her instruction as well as guidance.”
