Trish Shewokis, PhD, presented research at the 34th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society in San Diego, California. The theme for this year’s conference was “Engineering Innovation in Global Health.” It focused on biomedical engineering, healthcare technologies, and medical and clinical applications. Shewokis also had one of her abstracts accepted for a special issue of Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. Shewokis is a faculty member of both the Nutrition Sciences Department and the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences Department. She also has a joint appointment in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Sciences and Health Systems.
