Rundio Honored at Institute of Nursing Divas and Dons Gala

On October 24, Al Rundio, PhD, DNP, Assistant Dean for Advanced Practice in Nursing, was honored at the 9th Annual Divas and Dons Gala. The event recognized the contributions of 19 awardees and was sponsored by the Institute for Nursing of the Foundation of the New Jersey State Nurses Association.
Institute for Nursing President Norma L. Rodgers said, “This recognition is reserved for outstanding individuals who exemplify the highest standards for the Nursing profession. Each one is committed to the delivery of the highest quality of nursing care.” The Institute for Nursing raises funds, develops and manages grants, and supports advances in education, clinical practice, and research.
In addition to the several essential leadership roles in which Rundio has served at the College, he has an active practice at a chemical dependency research center, is President of the International Nurses Society on Addictions, writes two columns in the Journal of Addictions Nursing, and has authored several books and guides on nursing and finance. He was formerly the Vice President of Nursing at Shore Medical Center in New Jersey.
