Gloria Donnelly, PhD, RN, FAAN Dean of Drexel’s College of Nursing and Health Professions, was recently inducted into the Fellowship of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. She was one of 15 new members inducted into the oldest professional society in the country in a tradition that started more than 200 years ago.
Donnelly joined the ranks of prominent physicians as Benjamin Rush, John Redman, Sir William Osler, and S. Weir Mitchell when she signed the Fellowship Register.
Fellows are inducted into the College twice a year. Nominees are presented to the Committee on Admissions by two sponsoring Fellows. After review and acceptance of their curriculum vitae and sponsor letters, nominees are referred to the executive committee, and then voted on by the board of trustees.
