Ruth Henriquez, Leah Noble, Latoya Jackson, and Kionna Wright, four junior level students in the co-op nursing program, received scholarship awards from Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc, Theta Chapter. This event was held at the Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, PA on Saturday, October 30, 2010. Chi Eta Phi, Inc. sorority, an internationally recognized leader in the provision of health education, leadership development, and service to the community, includes both licensed nurses and nursing students. The Sorority provides financial assistance to nursing students who meet established criteria.

The Theta Chapter has an annual Founder’s Day Celebration and partial proceeds from the event benefit the Anne V. Chisum Scholarship Fund. Students were selected because of their overall academic progression including their grade point average, community, as well as college service activities. Of the six competitive awards given, Drexel University nursing students were recipients of four of them.
