The Department of Emergency Medical Services' Training Center (EMSTC) is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of EMS as a Basic Life Support Training Institute. Our main goal is to provide initial and basic knowledge and skills to anyone interested in becoming a pre-hospital care provider or EMT. We also aid current first response professionals in need of recertification or continuing education, and offer other healthcare providers (who desire to be certified as pre-hospital caregivers) first responder education.

Drexel offers university-level training by instructors who are seasoned and experienced providers (both EMS instructors and EMS physicians), and who have been in the field of emergency medicine for years. We have a strong working relationships with the City of Philadelphia and area hospitals' emergency departments, where students will complete their clinical hours.
