Complementary and Integrative Health Department
The Mission of the Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) Department is to provide the safe, effective and rational approach to bringing CIH within the paradigm of conventional healthcare/medicine. This is accomplished by providing evidenced-based content information through faculty who are credentialed experts in the field of complementary and integrative health.Our interdisciplinary graduate programs are designed to provide a strong foundation of knowledge in specific complementary and integrative therapies.
Taught online, our masters and certificate programs provide the convenience of online learning with the relative experience of a live classroom setting through the implementation of sophisticated, innovative technology characteristic of Drexel University.
This evidence-based program provides health care professionals with the tools to assess, guide, and evaluate patients by merging complementary and integrative health practices into the framework of conventional clinical practice. Coursework explores topics such as phytomedicine, functional nutrition, and mind/body modalities, providing a solid foundation in core competencies, as well as a theoretical basis for applying these practices.

American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation, Inc. has endorsed Drexel University’s Complementary and Integrative Health Master's and Certificate Programs, which allows graduates of these programs to sit for the nationally accredited board certification in holistic nursing.
