Melissa Tevere

Melissa Tevere joined the Close School of Entrepreneurship in 2018 as a Program Manager. In her role as Program Manager, Melissa helps to organize special events, including competitions, conferences, and expos. Previously, she served as the Director of Special Events and Conferences at the non-profit Appel Farm Arts and Music Center located in South Jersey. Melissa Tevere graduated from Temple University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting. As a lifelong learner, Melissa has also studied at Yale University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of San Francisco and the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Melissa is a fine artist and the founder of MamaCita, an award-winning artist cooperative. She has exhibited her work extensively, including solo exhibits at The Smyrna Opera House, Smyrna, Delaware, and Congregation Kol Ami, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and group exhibits at Main Street Arts Gallery, Clifton Springs, New York, The Gallery at Patrick Henry College, Roanoke, Virginia, Salus University, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, The Devon Horse Show Art Gallery, Devon, Pennsylvania, and Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Melissa is the former art editor of the literary magazine Philadelphia Stories and she has edited two books – Forgotten Philadelphia and Extraordinary Gifts: Remarkable Women of the Delaware Valley, both published by PS Books.
