Assistant Director of Recruitment
Upon graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 2014, Julia moved to Philadelphia to join the fight against educational inequity, joining 12Plus, a college access non-profit that supports students from the School District of Philadelphia. Following her one year fellowship with 12Plus, Julia began her journey at Drexel University in 2015 under the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success. Julia worked on the team that transformed Drexel University’s new student orientation into Welcome Week and assisted in planning the first ever University-wide Commencement ceremony at Citizens Bank Park. In 2016, Julia transitioned roles within Enrollment Management and Student Success to the Undergraduate Admissions Office, first as a Freshman Admissions Counselor, before her promotion to Assistant Director of Admissions in 2017. While a part of the Undergraduate Admissions team, Julia channeled her passion for diversity and inclusion efforts by co-leading the STEM Conference for Teen Girls and Captivate 6|7|8, a college fair for middle-school students. In her role as Assistant Director, Recruitment & Retention at the Close School, Julia works closely with prospective and current students on both the undergraduate and graduate levels who are interested in studying Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
