Student and Professional Organizations

With hundreds of Drexel University student organizations and clubs available, College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to follow their passions, apply their skills outside of the classroom and make new friends. Drexel students can also learn more about their career path and network through a number of professional organizations, many of which have student chapters on campus.

  • Drexel Smart House

    A student-led organization dedicated to promoting undergraduate research and public involvement in sustainability and advanced technologies through Drexel’s Race Street property.
  • Drexel Cyber Dragons

    A club for students who want to learn more about cybersecurity and/or compete in collegiate competitions.
  • Drexel Women in Computing Society (WiCS)

    An organization tailored to women-identifying students in computing-related majors at Drexel University, aimed at supporting, recruiting and retaining women pursuing a degree in broad field of computing.
  • Drexel Computational Design

    Provides a platform for students to collaborate and mentor one another to solve unmet medical needs through computational design with programming software such as MATLAB and Python.
  • Drexel oSTEM

    Dedicated to making LGBT+ individuals feel safe and supported within the STEM community.
  • TechServ

    Committed to bridging the Digital Divide in the Philadelphia area by refurbishing computers to donate to non-profit organizations in need.
  • Drexel Blockchain

    Comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from a wide range of disciplines, with a concentration of computer scientists, MBAs, and law students. Club members bring a combination of rigorous education and top-level professional experiences together to form a thriving group of blockchain experts and builders. The goal of this organization is to foster a community in the Philadelphia with three fundamental pillars: Education, Implementation of Blockchain, and Consultancy.

    Centered around creating a community for those learning, teaching, or working within the new technological are of Extended Reality.

  • Drexel AI

    Seeks to help Dragons get familiar with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fields.

  • Drexel Algorithms and Data Structures

    For students interested in developing their programming skills and honing their algorithmic intuition through regular training, simulations, and coding competitions.

  • Drexel Game Developers Group

    Promotes fields involved with game development, including Computer Science, Digital Media, and Music, to the University’s student body.

Honor Societies

  • Beta Phi Mu, Sigma Chapter

    Beta Phi Mu is an international honor society that recognizes and promotes scholastic achievement in library and information studies.
  • Upsilon Pi Epsilon

    The only National Honor Society for the computing sciences and is recognized as such by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and IEEE Computer Society. Drexel University was chartered in 1989 as the fifth chapter of the state of Pennsylvania to the Association by the Executive Council of Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
  • Eta Kappa Nu, Beta Alpha Chapter

    The international honor society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) which recognizes excellence in the electrical and computer engineering field.
