Alice B. Kroeger Professor Jane Greenberg, PhD, will participate in a research panel at the Symposium on International Coordination for Science Data Infrastructure, held at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. on November 1, 2017.

The public symposium, hosted by the The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Board on Research Data and Information (BRDI), will be comprised of a combination of short talks and panels that explore existing and emerging efforts in the sharing of scientific or related data as well as some of the key issues that arise from designing such systems.

Greenberg, who directs the Metadata Research Center (MRC) at the College of Computing & Informatics (CCI), will speak on her work in metadata-based policy and infrastructure development, including the Helping Interdisciplinary Vocabulary Engineering (HIVE) initiative, and the Dryad repository for data underlying scientific published research.

Registration for the symposium is open until October 27, 2017. Find the full schedule and registration details on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s website
