Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Evelynn and I’m a third-year student at Drexel studying Computer Science—though I didn’t start out that way. I completed my first year at Drexel as a Biomedical Engineer, but after completing an internship in a bioengineering lab and my first co-op at a medical device company, I realized it wasn’t for me. Changing my major was a difficult (and scary!) decision to make, but I’m very glad I did—I started taking CS classes in the spring of my sophomore year and have loved it ever since!

I’m also a New Hampshire native! My hometown is very different than Philadelphia so the city took some time to get used to, but I love exploring and learning how to navigate the city. To compensate for Philly’s lack of trees, I lead and participate in hikes and other outdoor adventures with Drexel’s outdoors club, Weekend Warriors. I’m also a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Drexel Women in Computing Society, and Theta Tau (Drexel’s only co-ed professional engineering fraternity).
