I chose this major because... I had actually never considered going into computing before I came to Drexel as an undecided student! I loved my freshman year math courses, so I spoke to my professors about careers using that material and they all pointed me towards CCI. I decided to take an Intro to Computing course while majoring in math my sophomore year, and I fell in love with the mix of logical problem solving and creativity and design.

Favorite thing/place at Drexel: I love the pods in CCI to really focus on work. Also the food trucks between Bossone and Main buildings.
When I'm not at Drexel, I'm... I'm often exploring Philly neighborhoods or restaurants I haven't tried yet! I also try to see as many shows as possible, whether it be theater, ballet, or the movies.
When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should... Go to Center City! There's a ton to do and take in. Visit the farmer's market at Rittenhouse on Saturdays and stroll Chestnut and Walnut nearby to shop. Go to the Delaware Riverfront at Spruce Street Harbor when it's nice out. While you're east check out Chinatown, Fishtown and Northern Liberties!
Advice to new/incoming CCI students: Stay on top of your schedule! The quarter system moves quick and if you don't manage your time and assignments well you'll likely fall behind. ALWAYS have a planner of some sort (I use Notion) that you keep up to date and put every due date from your syllabi in! Then start assignments early so you can seek help if you need it and not stress yourself out.
What is your dream job? I don't have a dream job yet. I love problem solving and writing code and hope to jump around doing those things in all areas of the tech field.
