Major: BS Computer Science
Hometown: I grew up in Mayfair, a tight-knit neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia
I chose this major because... Computers are integrated in our world in every aspect. This major is a solid choice going into the future workforce as I will always have a relevant skillset to pursue my goals.
Favorite Course(s): My favorite so far was definitely CS 171 with Mark Boady. This was my first official programming class and I loved it. I met a lot of friends in this class that I know I will have throughout Drexel and after as well. Learning to program with Python for the first time was such an amazing experience and I am so excited to learn more languages.
Clubs/Extracurricular Activities: Drexel Esports & Gaming Association and Blockchain Club
Co-ops I've done:
- I will be going on my first at Imalogix which is located in Bryn Mawr. Imalogix provides radiation monitoring and imaging performance metrics to hospitals and
other medical businesses through their own interface and automated alerts.
Favorite thing/place at Drexel: My favorite place at Drexel is definitely the Recreation Center. Drexel’s gym is state of the art and I am there almost every day. It is a great place to relax and work out after classes and work.
When I'm not at Drexel, I'm... at home which is only about fifteen minutes away to hang out with friends who go to Temple and other colleges around Drexel.
When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should... go to Nifty Fifty’s, a restaurant themed from the 50s. It is a little out of the city, but it will be the best milkshake you will ever have.
Advice to new/incoming CCI students: Go to every event you can! Meeting and connecting with other people are extremely beneficial in this major and will only help you succeed and have a much more fun experience at Drexel.
What is your dream job? Starting my own business involving machine learning and artificial intelligence
Favorite Animated Character: Perry the Platypus, such a cool dude casually saves the day like its nothing daily.
I am a Sophomore majoring in Computer Science planning to focus heavily on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Additionally, I will be minoring in Mathematics and Business. Video games and sports are two things that I have always had a passion for and is actually how I became interested in programming. Understanding how things are programmed and operate is something that will continue to drive my passion in Computer Science.
