This proposal is a strategic action plan to increase the enrollment and graduation rate of underrepresented minority students and their subsequent placement. The four-step process to increase URMs includes: revolutionizing recruitment and retention; improving the impact, visibility and research opportunities focusing on URMs; capitalizing on partnerships with organizations that specialize in working with diverse populations; and identifying long-term funding resources to secure sustainability.
Andrea Forte (Associate Professor)
This proposes a University-wide program to help Drexel PhD programs recruit top talent by driving down costs of visits through coordinating activities and spreading the cost across more entities. Funding could be raised to assist PhD programs in inviting top talent and coordinate these visits as much as possible University-wide to enable shared resources, group rates, etc.
