University Residence Halls

The residence halls at Drexel University create many opportunities for academic, intellectual and social involvement that encompass a great experience living on campus. Drexel residence halls provide amenities such as free play laundry, residential programs, professional staff support, student billing services, 3 to 12 month leases and flexible leases in the case of study abroad or co-op outside of Philadelphia that a private residence building typically does not provide. Living in the Drexel residence halls offers the value of dedicated programming for resident students as they embark on and continue their college career. Each residence hall is managed by a live-in Residence Director with experience in creating residential communities and counseling students. Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate students who act as mentors and community builders for the residents they serve. Each residence hall front desk is staffed by Residential Desk Coordinators, enhancing safety and support.

Residence halls also offer the advantage of integrating curricula into the residential component of the Drexel experience by bringing students together with faculty in residence hall multi-purpose spaces. Students who are engaged outside of the classroom have opportunities for more comprehensive learning; broadening their view of where learning can be experienced.

Study Abroad and Co-op

Drexel University Housing recognizes that Drexel students are dynamically engaged in academic-affiliated experiences. Students residing in a University residence hall have the flexibility to cancel without penalty for academic-affiliated programs such as study abroad and co-op experiences that are obtained outside of a 10-mile radius of the University City Campus. For more information on the policies and deadlines associated with housing cancellations, review the Cancellations page.
