Transferring to Drexel University
Drexel University's supportive and inclusive community welcomes over 450 full-time transfer students to campus each year, each looking to discover a new path that's right for them and meets their own personal goals.
As a global leader in experiential education, Drexel’s unique model infuses academics with the power of real-world experiences – including our renowned cooperative education program – allowing you to create and follow a pathway that not only meets your individual interests but prepares you to excel as a professional and grow as an individual.
World-Class Academics
Featuring more than 100 full-time majors and just as many minors, Drexel's undergraduate programs offer diverse academic opportunities that focus on practical application through research and hands-on experience. The breadth of academic programs means more opportunities for the transfer of your already earned credits. Drexel is an R1 research institution known for immense research opportunities at even the undergraduate level, collaboration across disciplines, and academic and civic programs around the world. You'll also have the chance to discover what you want to do and don't want to do as you gain up to 18 months of professional experience before graduation thanks to Drexel's cooperative education program, also known as co-op.
Supporting You Every Step of the Way
Drexel has a dedicated team of transfer admissions professionals who are here to assist you throughout the seamless admissions process and show you what makes our community such a special place for transfer students. With the help of our team, you'll find the process to be less daunting than you may think.
Transfer students are welcome to utilize the diverse support initiatives at Drexel, including our integrated on-campus academic resources and support services hub, which we call the ARC (Academic Resource Center), and Drexel Central, a centralized office for financial and advising needs here to guide you through the process of funding and supporting your education. Transfer students at Drexel are eligible for a variety of financial aid options, including merit-based scholarships, loans, and grants. In fall 2023, the average aid awarded to full-time undergraduate transfer students was $29,793.
Additionally, community college students who have earned their associate degree at an accredited school are eligible to receive a renewable scholarship for 50% of the cost of tuition through The Drexel Promise as they work to complete their bachelor's degree as a Drexel Dragon.
