Celebrate National Nutrition Month by joining the Drexel Solutions Institute and Aramark for a discussion surrounding health and wellness, and how companies can positively impact their consumers, communities, and the planet. Moderated by Drexel University's Professor of Culinary Arts and Food Science, Jon Deutsch, panelists will discuss innovations in the food industry and how these changes are impacting industry, communities, and the environment. Guests will also be treated to a food sampling provided by Aramark. Drexel Business Solutions Institute is pleased to welcome Aramark as Drexel University’s Corporate Partner of the Month for March and is happy to be able to provide our guests with insight into the latest developments and trends in collaboration with our industry partners. We welcome all current students, alumni and the business community to attend this event.

Jennifer Davis
Senior Vice President and Executive Director, American Heart Association

Jennifer Davis joined the American Heart Association and its mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives in 2011. She has served the organization in various capacities over the years, including in 2013 making Philadelphia the first market to achieve $1 million “new dollar” growth for two consecutive years.

Jennifer has received numerous awards for her success at the American Heart Association, including the prestigious national Cass Wheeler Integration Award, and the Great Rivers Affiliate Excellence Award in Leadership.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and has received excellence in leadership training at The Disney Leadership Institute and the Center for Creative Leadership. She lives in Haddonfield, New Jersey, with her husband and two children.

Jami Leveen
Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships, Aramark

Jami is passionate about purpose driven partnerships and to furthering sustainable business practices. As Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships for Aramark, Jami is responsible for leading industry partnerships and developing strategic communications that enhance Aramark’s reputation and align with important corporate sustainability commitments and initiatives. These efforts support engage employees, protect our planet, empower healthy lifestyles and build local communities.

Jami co-leads Healthy for Life® 20 by 20 (HFL), Aramark’s initiative with the American Heart Association to improve the health of Americans 20 percent by 2020. In addition to general partnership management and multiple stakeholder engagement, Jami leads the HFL community health education components including oversight of Feed Your Potential 365 Clubs. The Clubs, located in community centers around the US, equip families with the knowledge, skills and confidence to discover, choose and prepare healthy food through hands-on experiences and interactive evidence-based education developed, designed and tested with the AHA.

Jami holds a Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and a double Bachelors of Arts in History and Politics, Philosophy & Law from Binghamton University.

Dan Wainfan
Vice President – Brand Health, Wellness and Nutrition, Aramark

As Vice President Brand - Health, Wellness and Nutrition, Dan leads a center-of-excellence within Aramark’s Brand Management and Marketing function focused on creation and activation of industry-leading consumer health, wellness and nutrition programs, practices and partnerships. In this role Dan leads cross-functional teams that:

  • Develop and deploy related marketing, promotional and operating programs, field training and support tools, enabling systems and technologies.
  • Manage Aramark’s health focused digital & social media channels, providing health insights and ideas from the companies 1,000+ chefs and 750+ dietitians and health partners.
  • Develop market specific health, wellness and nutrition brands and programs including: K-12 student dining brands and programs, healthcare patient dining and clinical nutrition programs and practices, and Dietetic Internship Programs, training new dietitians for accreditation and placement.

Prior to this role Dan held various leadership positions in the consumer products industry with more than 20 years in food industry experience in brand management, product & program development and consumer marketing. Dan received his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and his Bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides near Philadelphia with his wife and two children.

Timothy Zintz
Director of Culinary Development, Aramark

Tim has been a faithful employee of Aramark for 33 years. He was an Executive Chef in Business Services for the first 15 years for such companies as Goldman Sachs, Salomom/Smith Barney and New York Life. He crossed over to Campus Services at NYU on March 2000 to explore a new line of business. Tim supervised all culinary programs and food quality for the food operations at NYU, St. John’s, Barnard, Juilliard, CW Post and SUNY Farmingdale. He decided to explore options in the Philadelphia area and accepted the position of District Executive Chef at University of Pennsylvania. He also supported St. Joseph’s University, Immaculata and West Chester University, along with the entire Eastern Region as part of a network of District Chefs, sharing ideas and best practices for all the area Campuses. From there he moved to Aramark’s new Innovation Center where he is the Director of Culinary Development Chef for the Enterprise Channel and Retail Development.

Tim started in the food business when he was 15, working his way up the kitchen ladder in the Buffalo area. He attended the Culinary Institute of America, graduating 3rd in his class. He spent the next 8 years honing his skills in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry in the Western New York and Rockland/Westchester areas. It was then the Aramark opportunity came knocking.

Tim’s specialties as an Aramark Chef include Health and Wellness, Vegan and Vegetarian Cuisine, Category Development and Channel Growth. Tim was also chosen as the 2002 International Guest Chef to represent Campus Services in Europe. In 2004, PETA voted Tim Chef of the Month because of his Vegan Program at Penn. He has worked with the FarmEcology group at Penn to develop a Local/Organic Program on Campus to educate students on the benefits of “Going Local”. Tim currently works on Aramark’s AHA program, delivering healthier alternatives to Aramark’s Recipe Database. His team heads up the plant forward development in the enterprise retail sector. Tim returns to the CIA every chance he gets to attend a Continuing Education course to stay current on the food trends in this ever changing market. It just proves you can teach old dogs new tricks!
