PHS presents, ‘Meet the Makers,’ a series where you’ll meet and get to know local brewers and taste through a selection of your favorite beer and cider!
Hale & True Cidery, is a neighborhood gem, located in Bella Vista, right off South Street. Kerry and Risa opened the cidery and taproom in 2018 but their plan was in the works for years. Once they first made cider in their tiny Philly apartment they were hooked! They have been making and sharing beautiful, dry cider sourced from local PA orchards ever since!
They’ll be talking all about co-fermentation, a practice commonly used in winemaking, where different grapes are fermented together. In this case it refers to the co-fermenting of apples with other fruits, which Hale and True does so well!
Cider will be available for purchase to be enjoyed at the Garden or to be taken to go. *Must be 21+ to attend.
