Allevi (formerly BioBots) consists of hustlers, innovators, wizards and change-makers. Their mission is to engineer biology to cure disease, eliminate the organ waiting list, revert climate change, and live on other planets. They ultimately want to improve lives and push the human race forward. Allevi enables this by empowering others to easily create living systems through their platforms of hardware, software, and wetware. The first product is an easy to use 3D bioprinter that is revolutionizing 3D biology by empowering scientists around the world to create human 3D tissues. Biosketch:
Ricky Solorzano is a co-founder of Allevi (formerly BioBots), a Philadelphia-based startup that is revolutionizing biological research by building tools to make it easier to engineer biology. Allevi is specifically beginning by creating premier bioprinters that can print living tissues.

As CTO, Ricky continues to lead the development of next generation products that allows scientists to design and prototype tissues. Ricky is a member of the Organ Bioengineering Scientific Direction Team for the International Space Station, as well as a member of the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute.
