The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design offers professionally oriented programs that prepare students to begin or enhance careers in the design, media, and nonprofit arts sectors.
Class sizes are kept small, and students are exposed to their professions through exchanges with a full-time faculty of talented industry practitioners and part-time instructors drawn from their fields. Two qualities define Westphal's graduate programs: an emphasis on experiential learning through studio instruction and a focus on the real-world challenges of professional practice.
Students enjoy specialized facilities in the URBN Center that include design studios and computer laboratories, television studios and station, art gallery, the Historic Costume Collection, and Mandell Theater.
