Stephen Leesman is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. He holds a real estate license in the State of Ohio and is a member of the Cincinnati Board of Realtors and the International Facility Management Association.

In 2007, Leesman served as the Special Projects Manager for the Vice President of Administrative and Business Services at the University of Cincinnati: responsible for major on-campus construction projects, developments, and special assignments. He has more than 30 years experience in construction and facilities management, commercial real estate, retail store planning, budget and cost analysis, strategic planning, asset management and procurement, and administrative services (corporate and higher education).

Leesman joined Drexel in 2007 as Executive Director of Real Estate to oversee real estate negotiations and space planning for all University holdings and later promoted in 2009 to Assistant Vice President. He was promoted again in 2011 to Associate Vice President. He has been involved with numerous real estate transactions including the re-negotiations of Tenet Health Care Systems' master lease for Drexel University College of Medicine and the acquisition of the 3501 Market Street property for the Westphal College of Media Arts and Design.
