The Environmental Collaboratory is pleased to support the formation of four collaborative teams of faculty, students and professional staff for research, creative and scholastic endeavors that will further catalyze Drexel’s Areas of Excellence & Opportunity (AEOs) in Sustainability and Climate Resilience with funding from the Waverly Street Foundation,

The two institutions have received an initial installment of $500,000 with the highest three performers eligible to share $1,750,000 for implementation to develop a cross-university exchange program related to the design of low-carbon environments.

For the second year, undergraduate students in the Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship had a front row seat to the process of investing in fledgling start-ups during an immersive Venture Capital Due Diligence course (ENTP T380). Students joined the Drexel University Innovation Fund (DUIF) Investment Advisory Committee to vet four finalists and select the winners, each of whom received $150,000 in seed funding.

In the fall of 2020, deep into the pandemic and remote teaching, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) launched a new program to encourage students to do something simple: Write a “thank you” note to one of their teachers.

Dana D’Angelo’s first job out of college was working at what was then Andersen Consulting, where she stayed for two years before enrolling in Drexel University to earn an MBA. Her plan was to return to the consulting firm upon completing her masters', which she did, but something happened along the way that changed her professional journey.
