Setting Up Email
If you haven't done so already, you must pick up your Common Accounts before you can use email services.
There are many ways to get your email, ranging from quick web browser-based solutions, to a more feature-rich email client for your computer, or mobile solutions using a "smartphone."
Basic email can be accessed via DrexelOne or WebMail. Exchange (for faculty and staff) can be accessed at ExchangeWeb.
Windows-based Client Access
MacOS-based Client Access
IRT provides "push" email for phones that support the Blackberry Enterprise Service and the Microsoft DirectPush service. Windows Mobile phones, the Apple iPhone, and some Nokia and other models support DirectPush. All Blackberrys and some other phones that have a Blackberry add-on program installed support BES.
BES service is only available to faculty and staff with Exchange accounts and there is a $10/month inter-office charge to reimburse IRT for the BES handset license. There may also be an additional cost for "Enterprise Service" charged by your mobile carrier; typically this cost is $5/mo more than the cost of Blackberry Internet Service. To request a BES account, contact Telecommunications.
