Message from the Dean
As the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CoAS), I want to welcome you and encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our diverse academic programs, award-winning faculty, and talented student body. The mission of the College is to provide our students with a challenging, comprehensive learning experience, truly preparing them to hit the ground running after graduation.
While you’re on the site, please explore as many of our academic programs as possible, even if you think they’re not for you. You may stumble upon a program, a faculty member, or an area of research that inspires you. We are proud of what we call the "Drexel Difference"—a difference that allows students to combine intellectually challenging classroom work with practical hands-on learning through co-operative education programs. Is this combination right for you? The best way to answer this question is to explore, explore, explore!
If you find something that piques your interest and think that Drexel and the College of Arts and Sciences may be the place for you, we encourage you to visit campus, tour our facilities, speak to faculty members, attend a class, meet with the College's academic counselors, and interact with our wonderful students. One or more of these activities can be arranged by contacting the Drexel Visit Center at 1-800-2-DREXEL or by submitting a Campus Visit Request form. You are also welcome to contact the College directly, by calling or emailing our Director of Recruitment, Gary Johnson at 215-571-3514 or email@example.com.
Choosing the right college can be both a scary and an exhilarating experience. The best way to find the "perfect fit" is to do as much research now as you can. But remember that you don’t have to do all of that research on your own: we are here to help you along the way.
Dr. Donna Murasko, Dean
