Accounts Setup and Management
Your Drexel Computer Account is used to access various University services and applications such as the Drexel domain, DrexelOne, DrexelConnect, Webmail, and the Computer Accounts Management Service (CAMS).
Other types of accounts exist and must be set up or requested separately.
Set Up Your Account
When setting up your Drexel Computer Account, your user-id will be assigned to you but you may pick your own password and set your own security question.
To get started, please follow the instructions for:
Manage Your Account
Once your account is set up, you can log into the Computer Accounts Management Service (CAMS) at any time to manage the following:
Email Forwarding
Use the forwarding icon to choose how incoming email is handled:
- Send all mail to your Drexel mailbox (this is the default action)
- Forward all mail to a different email address (like Google, Microsoft, or another Drexel department)
- Both -- keep a copy in your Drexel mailbox and send a copy somewhere else
Email Quota
Use the quota icon to check how much of your 100 MB email storage is in use.
TIP: LinkEdu accounts (student only) have much larger email quotas (50-100 times more!), use "drexel.edu" in their email addresses, and don't have ads like regular Google and Microsoft accounts.
Personal Alias
You can create an alias that will also work as your email address; such as "john.doe@drexel.edu" instead "jd123@drexel.edu." It's the same email account -- just a friendlier address that is easier to remember! You must still use your Drexel user-ID to log into applications.
Password Changes
Clicking on the big set of keys next to your name will reset your email and domain passwords--but not your password for Dunx1.
Password Reset Service
If you selected a security question when you set up your account, you can use it to retrieve a forgotten password by clicking "Help! I forgot my password" on the front page of CAMS.
If you did not set up a security question but remember your password, you may still log in and create one by following the instructions for How to Configure the Password Reset Service.
If you did not set up a security question and have forgotten your password, you must call the IRT Help Desk (215-895-2020) to retrieve it.
