Health Insurance and Immunizations

Crisis Resources

Should you find yourself in a mental health crisis or health-related emergency, you need to know who to contact right away.

The Office of Health Insurance and Immunizations provides important information regarding compliance with Drexel University's health insurance and immunization policies.

Drexel's health insurance and immunization policies exist to ensure the health and well-being of all members of the Drexel community using the American College Health Association and the Centers for Disease Control guidelines. The office on the University City Campus serves all undergraduate and graduate students at the University. Professional staff work closely with students to ensure compliance with the required polices and overcome any obstacles that may arise in an effective and efficient manner.

Services

  • Affordable student health care

HIPAA Policy

In accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, which govern communications in reference to health-related information, we are unable to communicate directly with parents and guardians regarding student health insurance and immunization. For this reason, we encourage students to speak with their families regularly to avoid any unwanted charges or missed deadlines.

Administrative Holds

Any student who does not comply with the Immunization Policy deadline date will have an administrative hold placed on their record. All students who have an administrative hold on their record will not be able to register for the following term's classes. Holds will be removed within 24 hours of receipt of the student's completed Immunization Record, but it may also take an additional 24 hours before you can register for classes.
