Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style
In February of 2010, The Drexel Historic Costume Collection (DHCC) lent a gown to the La Triennale Design Museum in Milan for the exhibition Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style. The black silk gown was designed by MGM costume designer Gilbert Adrian for the 1931 film Inspiration. It was one of three pieces donated by Mrs. Thomas E. Burns Jr. in 1976.
