CreativeXChange

October 7, 2015

In a new experimental workshop series, Philadelphia’s Arts & Business Council explores how the creative process can be innovatively applied in the workplace. On October 28 Westphal will host a session of CreativeXChange, which introduces the business, legal and technology communities to creative methodologies for their work practice. Capturing Your Imagination: Building a Creative Organization is the third session in a four-part series and will focus on developing a variety of tools to enhance both personal and organizational creativity. The workshop, which requires paid admission, will take place in the URBN Center and will be led by Jerry Wind, renowned Director of the Wharton School’s SEI Center for Advanced Studies in Management.

During the hands-on session participants will articulate the personal and organizational challenges they currently face, the rate and magnitude of change within their organization, and how to effectively address both of these realities at once. In addition to discussing and applying tools for creativity, participants will each develop an experimental outline for a strategy they can begin to implement within their organizations immediately. The session, which runs from 8:00am to 11:30am, will take place in URBN Center Room 125 (3501 Market Street). The deadline to apply is October 12.

The first CreativeXChange workshop will focus on design thinking, the second on the art of changing perspective, and the fourth will explore a collaborative path to discovery. The sessions will take place every Wednesday from October 14 through November 4, each at a different partner location in Philadelphia.
