UX Designer Jared Spool

October 22, 2014

From Apple to the White House, a growing number of organizations have seen success through great User Experience (UX) design. The demand for multi-skilled designers who can handle everything from visual design to coding has never been higher. On Thursday, October 30 Drexel’s Digital Media Department will welcome Jared Spool, founding principal of User Interface Engineering, the largest usability research organization of its kind, for a free and open-to-the-public talk at 7:00pm in the URBN Annex Screening Room (3401 Filbert Street).

Spool has worked in the field of usability and experience design since 1978, before the term "usability" was ever associated with computers. In addition to founding User Interface Engineering, he is a co-founder of Center Centre and speaks widely on the subject of UX. He is on the faculty of the Tufts University Gordon Institute and teaches seminars on product usability.
