Students Learn How to Get Their First Job in Television

On February 9th, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences presented a seminar entitled "How to Get Your First Job in TV" sponsored by the Westphal College's Paul F. Harron Graduate Program in Television Management. Al Tedesco, TV Management Program Director, kicked off the session speaking to the power of the medium and the demands of media management. Paul Gluck, Executive Director of the Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies, was also on hand to share his professional experiences and he stressed the importance of internships and networking. The event was held at the studios of Philadelphia's CBS KYW-TV. The TV Management Program will sponsor a similar panel in Pittsburgh on February 22nd.
