The Leonard Pearlstein Gallery is proud to present Time Lines, an exhibit of color pencil drawings by Dennis Will. Will, a long time faculty member and professor in the Art & Art History Department at Drexel University, has played an integral role in shaping the Foundations curriculum in the Art & Art History Department. His commitment to teaching the fundamental principles of design is demonstrated in his profound but adept use of color, line, and form in this recent body of work.

Will’s use of primary visual elements, and light and time, aid in the building of spaces that express full emptiness and silent sound. The delicacy and intricacy of his lines create a matrix, rhythmically hovering, imbedded somewhere in the milieu of his primary form landscapes. His use of color reinforces the notion of a boundless plasticity layered with a sense of time and quiet consideration. While structured by an overarching formalism and composition, the playfulness and pleasure in manipulating illusionistic space should not be overlooked as an important component in the virtue of Will's artwork.
