Simon Tickell, AIA is an architect who comes to Drexel with over 25 years of professional experience with a number of the best architecture firms in the City. His experience includes many building types but has special depth in educational and museum buildings, including the new Barnes building on the parkway. Concurrent with his professional practice, Simon has been an adjunct faculty member at Drexel since 1987. In his remarks to the selection committee for his new position with the Department of Architecture and Interiors at Drexel, Simon noted that he finds it tremendously rewarding to create curricula with faculty colleagues and to teach – and just as often, learn from – the next generation of practitioners. Simon is thrilled to be starting his new job as Associate Director of the Evening Program and teaching in both the evening and day programs this fall.
