Lucinda Lea has been teaching ballet at Drexel University since 2001. She trained at Boston Ballet under the direction of E.Virginia Williams, Indiana University, where she earned a BA in English, and Boston Repertory Ballet. She founded Ballet Arts Academy, Nashua, N.H., in 1975 and directed the school along with Ballet Arts Dance Ensemble, where she was also resident choreographer, until 1985. Upon moving to the west coast, she taught,choreographed and staged professional ballets for Westside Ballet Co. in Santa Monica, CA and South Bay Ballet in Torrence, CA. Since 1990 Ms. Lea has lived in Philadelphia and instructed at the PA Ballet Academy, Philadelphia Civic Ballet, and University City Arts League. At that time she became a certified Trager Practitioner/Movement Educator and currently has a private practice in Philadelphia. She also serves as a Tutor and introductory Workshop Leader for Trager International, helping train practitioners world wide.
