Nan Gilbert has worked in theater and arts management for over 35 years. Prior to her position as the Manager of the Mandell Theater, Nan was the Managing Director for Jeanne Ruddy Dance. Nan held the position of Assistant Director/Senior Lecturer for the School of Theater Arts at the University of the Arts for 6 years. She has been Presenter/Coordinator of the Bryn Mawr College Performing Arts Series, Assistant Director of the South Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Managing Director of FrankfordStyle, an inner city community arts center.
Nan was one of the original staff members during the first four seasons of the American Music Theater Festival, now the Prince Music Theater. During her years working for DMK Productions, Nan produced business theater and corporate special events, murder mystery weekends, coordinated the production for the Relache Ensemble, and worked as Talent Coordinator/Assistant Producer for the Lecture Series at the Free Library of Philadelphia. In addition, Nan has held positions at WHYY-FM, WHYY-TV and WCAU-TV as an associate producer for public service and children’s programming. Nan is a graduate of Emerson College’s Theater Program.
