Specific to Westphal College Undergraduate application instructions found in the Freshman application instructions website please ensure to:

Relate your essay topic to your interest in your intended major. If you are applying to an accelerated degree program in the Westphal College, your essay topic should relate to your selected major and indicate why you are a good candidate for the program. Portfolios

Applicants to the following programs should submit portfolio materials through the Discover Drexel Portal. All work submitted becomes part of the application and will not be returned.

  • Fashion Design, Graphic Design, and Photography applicants are required to submit a sample of your creative work with a maximum of 12 images of drawings, paintings, photographs, or other visual materials or a website. All work submitted becomes part of the application and will not be returned.
  • Game Art and Production applicants may submit an optional portfolio. Your portfolio may contain any material you feel is relevant to your skills (i.e., drawing, painting, photography, video, 3D models, animations, music, video games, computer programs, code, research, etc.). All work submitted becomes part of the application and will not be returned.
  • Interior Design applicants may submit an optional portfolio. Please provide a sample of your creative work with a maximum of 12 images of drawings, paintings, sculpture, photographs, 3D models, or other visual materials or a website. All work submitted becomes part of the application and will not be returned.
  • Music Industry applicants may submit an optional portfolio. Please provide any relevant samples of any creative or business-related work that demonstrates your understanding of the industry and past experience in the field. This content may include press kits, business and marketing plans, links to websites, professional résumés, and/or links to your productions/recordings, or original music. All work submitted becomes part of the application and will not be returned.

Once your application has been processed, you'll receive an email providing you with a Student ID and PIN that will give you access to the Discover Drexel Portal. At that time you may login and upload images or include links to videos.

File Formats

Images must be in a PDF, JPG, or PNG format. You can upload the file to your portfolio (journal) submission or paste links to images hosted on a publicly accessible website.

Videos must be hosted on a publicly accessible website. You may either embed the video or paste a link to the video.

 

Audition (Full Time Dance applicants only)

Dance applicants are required to audition. Visit the Westphal College Dance website for more information.
