Rose Drew is a Philadelphia-based graphic designer, photographer, painter, and educator.  In 2008, she began Studiorose Graphic Design, working with a primarily local clientele, often artists and craftspeople themselves. She enjoys the creative freedom of her home-based design business, and it allows flexibility in her schedule for teaching, which she has done since 2013, at both Drexel University and The University of the Arts. Before starting Studiorose Graphic Design, Rose had over 15 years of in-house design experience in the areas of corporate identity, marketing, and advertising, including: The Schechter Group, Z Michaels, and McCann-Erickson in New York, and Aramark Corporation and Grubb & Ellis in Philadelphia.

A childhood trip to The Philadelphia Bulletin’s typesetting room with her dad (who worked in The Philadelphia Bulletin’s press room) cultivated a love of type in her. Rose holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she studied in the Swiss design tradition. Her design education approached graphic design as a craft, and incorporated: typography, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and bookbinding techniques.

Rose has exhibited her photography and paintings in various venues (The Philadelphia Sketch Club, The University of the Arts, Hamilton Street Gallery, and Thomas Jefferson University, to name a few).
