Amanda Tinker is a photographer working and residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1998 she completed her undergraduate studies in photography at Drexel University and in 2001 received her MFA from Temple University, Tyler School of Art.  While at Tyler she was awarded the Temple University Fellowship. She has been teaching at Drexel University since 2001.

Amanda has exhibited in national and international exhibitions. Selected exhibitions include the Photography Gallery at the University of Notre Dame, The Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia, Gallerie Lampinstrasse in Bielefeld, Germany and the Heilongjiang Art Museum in Harbin, China. She was published in The Philadelphia Photo Review in 2004 and in the online magazine, Muybridges Horse in 2014. In 2005 Amanda received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.  In 2003 she received a Window of Opportunity Grant from The Leeway Foundation in preparation for her inclusion in The First Woodmere Triennial of Contemporary Photography at the Woodmere Art Museum. Most recently Amanda’s work was included in the exhibition, Alternative, at the Heilongjiang Art Museum in Harbin, China and in the Onward 2015 exhibition at project Basho in Philadelphia.
