I have been editing professionally for 15 years. I received my MFA in Film Editing from the American Film Institute in 2005. During my time at AFI I worked with Oliver Stone and Gary Oldman.

I was nominated for an ACE student editing award as well as a Key Art Award and was the recipient of the Hollywood Foreign Press “Achievement in Editing” scholarship in 2004. After graduation I went on to edit award-winning theatrical trailer campaigns for Creative Domain and Trailer Park in Los Angeles. My campaigns include Spider-Man 2, Spirited Away, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, March of the Penguins, The Polar Express, The Aviator, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Akeelah and the Bee, Kinsey, and many more.

In 2006 I left trailer editing to tackle the world of television. Since 2006 I have edited over 125 episodes of Television, including Paranormal State, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Flip That House, Garage Brothers, Buying Alaska, & Buying the Rockies to name just a few.

I had my first book “Editing, The Art of Digital Storytelling” published in 2014. I am currently working on the second Edition to be published in the summer of 2016. I am the executive producer of Dragon Productions, which is a production company at Drexel Westphal that employs only students in key production positions.

Last year I finished editing a documentary that was shot in Armenia in 2014 and my most recent documentary “The Human Element” that I directed in Thailand won the Award of Merit at the Impact Doc Awards. I also edited and lead post-production on an 8 camera concerts for The Wonder Years.

Last but not least, beyond teaching editing and post-production at Drexel I runs a non-profit called Redeeming Waters International that brings food, clean water, and medical supplies to Africa and Haiti, while also continuing to edit on a freelance basis for television production companies in NY, LA, and DC. Throughout all of my work, I have managed to remain an “avid” snowboarder & horseback rider, occasional farmer, wife, and mother to two teenage boys!
