Stevenson brings to life a diverse group of historical women role models through music and monologue in her dynamic one-woman show, Women, Back to the Future. As writer, producer and presenter, Stevenson portrays women who challenged the traditional expectations of their time, sought creative solutions to their problems, and whose stories continue to provide inspiring leadership lessons for new generations. With over 25 years of professional experience in music, theater, and education, Stevenson tours nationally and internationally performing for conferences, conventions, schools, military, government and community organizations.
The Daily Record’s annual list of Maryland’s Top 100 Women in recognition of her outstanding achievement through professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring. She has been recognized for her leadership by Maryland AAUW and awarded numerous grants using the arts as a vehicle for change. Currently, Stevenson is Board Chair of Empowered Women International, an award-winning nonprofit organization that channels the creative talents of low-income, immigrant, and refugee women into small businesses that create jobs and a new generation of women leaders and entrepreneurs. In her capacity as board chair, Stevenson continues her mission as an advocate for economic empowerment for all women. Stevenson holds a bachelors degree in Education and Fine Arts from Michigan State University.
