Jayne is a Navajo woman, attorney, Montana State House Representative 2001-2008, and nursing student recruiter for Salish Kootenai College Nursing Department, Pablo, Montana. She received a Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law, a Master of Science in Watershed Management/Hydrology from University of Arizona, and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Industry from Arizona State University.
She served on the Appropriations Committee, Sub-committee for Health and Human Services. State and Tribal Interim Legislative Committee, House Joint Resolution 1 Committee on Mental Health, and interim Legislative Finance Interim Committee.
She is Licensed to practice law in Montana; Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Court, Northern Cheyenne Tribal Court, Blackfeet Tribal Court all in Montana; Coeur d’lene Tribal Court (Idaho); Navajo Nation Tribal District Court (Utah, New Mexico, Arizona).
