Dargan is a seasoned leader with diverse careers, education and work experiences in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Her professional background includes significant success and diverse roles in financial services, retail distribution technology, fashion design & marketing, and the non-profit / philanthropy sectors. Most recent background includes 15+ years in the financial services sector, with positions of responsibility in compliance, client and portfolio management, product development, acquisition integration, recruiting, mentoring, vendor relationships and program management. She has also been highly active in developing leadership initiatives for women as well as contributing to Global Diversity & Inclusion Committees in her prior roles, and was a recipient of the Global Diversity & Inclusion Award in 2010 for her efforts.
Dargan has also had significant participation for over 20 + years in numerous leadership development, philanthropic and non-profit initiatives. Her participation in this sector began with her efforts with the Missionaries of Charity under the late Mother Teresa while she was completing her Bachelors Degree in New Delhi, India. She has been recognized and commended for her passion and interest in developing programs to create opportunities for talent and leadership development, networking, and career management for women and men in her prior roles both within and outside of the corporate world. She was an active participant in the LIWAPI Initiative at Douglas College, Rutgers University in early 90s (Leadership Institute for Women of Asia & Pacific Islands). As a member of the Financial Women’s Association, NY, Dargan has brought the vast array of opportunities offered by the FWA to associates at her prior firm and organized events that enabled associates to participate, network and learn from senior leaders within and outside the sector. As the Founder and first CEO of GWIM Women’s Exchange at the firm’s corporate campus in New Jersey, she developed programs and fostered the participation of senior leaders, establishing committees for developing mentoring plans, career and leadership development events with industry leaders, and cross sector relationship building opportunities for member associates.
She currently leads her consulting practice providing leadership and strategic direction for growth, awareness, publicity, event planning, and fund raising to diverse initiatives from her horizontal experiences, as well as develop and leverage linkages and opportunities for mutual growth between the non-linear sectors to bring visible success to their efforts. She has received a Bachelor of Arts ( Honors) degree in Sociology & Economics from The College of Jesus & Mary, University of Delhi ( India), licensed as a Financial Advisor (FINRA Series 7&63) , trained Six Sigma Black Belt and Compliance & Governance in her prior roles.
