Valley Forge HERstory Hunt

Saturday, August 26, 2017

10:00 AM-12:30 PM

It took 120 years to write and ratify the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which gave women the right to vote. The 19th Amendment was passed on August 26, 1920 – a day we now observe across the country as National Women’s Equality Day.

This Women’s Equality Day, Vision 2020 is hosting the HERstory Hunt, a hands-on women's history scavenger hunt that inspires girls and boys to go beyond the traditional telling of history to find the underrepresented voices of the past, and especially to find the places where women have served as leaders or important historical figures.

The hunt will take place in Valley Forge National Historical Park and is open to the public.
